World Equipment Sdn Bhd, part of the ONLY WORLD GROUP was established in March 1973. The business first began by providing office equipment and maintenance services to various Malaysian Government contracts. In 1975, the business then ventured into the automobile refurbishing business providing re-upholstery, polishing, OEM car care products to Shell Malaysia and Brunei. In 1980, the business designed and built family fun centres and roller skating rinks throughout Malaysia. In 1983, Malaysia’s First Amusement Park – Taman Subang Ria Park was designed and built.
Since then, Only World Group has been involved in various turnkey and contracted projects namely Genting Highlands Resort, Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa, Wet World Waterparks, Sunway Lagoon Water Theme Park, Mines Wonderland, and Desa Waterpark. The Group also designed, built and manages Wet World Shah Alam, Wet World Air Panas Pedas Resort and Wet World Batu Pahat Village Resort. The Group was awarded the Malaysia Book of Records “Longest Family Coaster” for Desa Waterpark in 1999 and the “Longest Water Propelled Coaster for Wet World Shah Alam in 2001.
Today, the Group has become Malaysia’s leading pioneer in the amusement and recreation theme park industry with nearly four decades’ worth of experience. Through a series of rapid growth and entrepreneurial spirit, Only World Group is well-diversified and accomplished in the leisure and F&B industries present in popular resorts and shopping malls throughout the nation.
